The Democratic Party enters its first presidential festival in eight years...Biden on the mound from day one

The U.S. Democratic Party entered a national convention on the 19th (local time) to officially nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as a U.S. presidential candidate.

The U.S. Democratic Party officially began its four-day convention at 5:33 p.m. with Democratic National Committee Chairman Minion Moore's opening speech at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

It is the first time in eight years that major Democratic Party members have gathered to certify presidential candidates. During the last presidential election, large-scale detectives were not held in the aftermath of COVID-19.

The party convention will be comprised of speeches by key figures following platform voting by the delegates of each footnote. The Democratic Party announced its platform on the day before announcing its policy direction, which will be finalized after voting by delegates on the day.

It's the first day of the national convention, but the speaker is splendid.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be the speaker, following U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Lemondo and UAW Chairman Sean Payne.

Hillary was the Democratic presidential candidate eight years ago and challenged for the first female president in the U.S., but lost to former President Donald Trump.

Vice President Harris is considered a strong ally in a situation where he is equally challenging former President Trump for the first female president.

Following the congratulatory speech by Democratic House and Senate members, the Biden family will decorate the grand finale.

First, President Biden's wife, Jill Biden, will take the podium and speak in support of Vice President Harris.

After that, when his daughter Ashley Biden takes over the microphone and introduces his father, President Biden appears.

After evaluating his accomplishments over the past four years, Biden is expected to send a message that Vice President Harris is the right person to continue this work.

President Biden and First Lady Jill entered Chicago later in the day and made a preliminary tour of the United Center, where the national convention will be held. Asked by reporters if they were ready to hand over the torch to Vice President Harris, she replied, "Yes, we will hear it tonight."

Vice President Harris, who will take over the torch, also plans to visit the convention hall in person to watch President Biden's speech.

Meanwhile, outside the convention hall, protesters criticizing the Biden administration's pro-Israel policy took to rallies and marches.

They are calling for the Democratic Party and Vice President Harris to stop all aid to Israel.

According to the New York Times (NYT), they marched down the street after a rally at Union Park near the former captain, where some protesters left the display and tried to force their way into the United Center.

Police forces wearing helmets and holding suppression sticks were deployed to stop them, and some protesters were arrested in the process.
